VICE PRESIDENT(S)
Assist the President in their duties as sees fit | Assist in the preparation of and keep time of weekly meetings | Facilitate Leadership Nomination and Election processes throughout the year; solidify leadership for the following academic year | Delegate duties as sees fit
RECORDING SECRETARY(IES)
Record meeting minutes and send at most 24 hours post-meeting | Upkeep event member sign-up sheets at meetings
CORRESPONDING SECRETARY(IES)
Check RFC e-mails and networking systems regularly and correspond as sees fit | Contact new member recruits | Remind members about upcoming events | Update Leadership and Member rosters
FINANCE COORDINATOR(S)
Manage RFC funds through the Dean of Students | Facilitate financial matters among the group | Assist RFC with financial assistance and follow through with processes (i.e. grant-writing, fund requests, fundraising)
RESEARCH COORDINATOR(S)
Data entry of 2008-2009 UCI Food Assessment | Research sustainability criteria for current campus food procurement | Work with the Real Food Calculator to determine our “real” our food is | Field study in local farms, distributors, ranches, and food production sites | Interview food systems stakeholders for qualitative work
EDUCATION COORDINATOR(S)
Develop educational RFC initiatives, like the Real Food Roundtable, in the UCI Community | Coordinate a Spring 2009 Real Food Education Series
SPECIAL PROJECT(S) COORDINATOR(S)
It is recognized that projects with the Real Food Challenge change over time. Thus, Special Projects Coordinator(s) and their duties are open ended and are given space for creativity and learning. Recommendations for the RFC include Compost and Zero Waste, Campus Gardens/Farms, etc.
SOCIALS COORDINATOR(S)
Provide, foster, & build festive relationships using ecologically-sound, fair, humane, and community-based food and food values among the Leadership and UCI community.
